Top online display advertising network and ad serving technology leader, engage:BDR is proud to announce Chris Vanger joining the team as the new Director of Branded Entertainment. Chris comes to engage from Young Hollywood, where he was responsible for producing celebrity content programs and integrating and managing large international brand partnerships.
Chris comes to the company with over 10 years of experience in the entertainment business. Prior to Young Hollywood, he worked at Movieline/Hollywood Life Magazine where he produced several award shows, such as the Young Hollywood Awards and the Hollywood Life House at the Sundance Film Festival and used his vast experience selling advertisements and sponsorships for those respective events.
Chris will help build the new Branded Entertainment Division of engage:BDR - integrate!, by incorporating brands into multiple types of custom programming that will be distributed through engage:BDR, a comScore beaconed international display ad network that reaches over 150mm unique monthly users. In addition, Chris will also integrate engage:BDR’s humor site, HAHAJK.com, with co-owner comedian and actor Jamie Kennedy through exclusive partnerships with brands and custom content like its recent and widely successful co-branded program with Ask.com – the HAHA,JK! Webshow, which is a recreation of his very successful hidden camera television series that aired on the WB.
In addition to other exciting custom programming opportunities for advertisers, integrate! will formally announce its joint venture with Schizo Pictures later this month. Chris will drive the direction of the partnership which will focus on producing original web series and feature films with Daniel Myrick, co-writer and director of The Blair Witch Project.
“The engage:BDR model is exactly what Brands are looking for as the Branded Entertainment Space expands on the web,” Chris says, “as we can guarantee millions of video views per month on some of the top sites around, along with producing a lot of really great content. I know that 2012 is going to be a big year for us.”
When asked about what he believes Chris will add to the company, CEO of engage:BDR, Ted Dhanik says, “We are excited to have Chris join the team, who brings invaluable experience and extensive knowledge of the Branded Entertainment Arena, and look forward to many exciting initiatives in 2012.”
