From our family-friendly resorts, to well-thought out childcare and prices designed to make it easy for parents to take their children skiing. This season we undoubtedly offer more choice, better facilities and a more flexible programme
London, UK (PRWEB UK) 4 November 2011
Nothing melts the ice in a ski resort as fast as the sight of toddlers sliding down the nursery slopes on skis like little padded-up Michelin men - or bigger kids snaking down the blue-runs in multi-coloured convoys, their instructors somewhere in tow. And though British kids might at first be cautious, European kids virtually take their first steps on skis!
Kids, from 2 to 82 years old, love the snow and the younger they start to ski and the older they can keep going, the better.
British ski companies and European ski resorts have invested a huge amount of time and money into making children’s skiing fun, which in turn makes it fun for the adults both to ski with and without their kids. Though only a fraction of kids now ski with their schools (around 120,000 compared with over 500,000 in 1980), family skiing is more affordable and accessible than ever before.
"We designed our new ski brochure with families in mind," said Ian Davis, Product Director Crystal Ski. "From our family-friendly resorts, to well-thought out childcare and prices designed to make it easy for parents to take their children skiing. This season we undoubtedly offer more choice, better facilities and a more flexible programme to match the needs of every family than ever before.”
Children as young as three can now join many resorts' ski schools, through Crystal’s new Whizzclusive ski clubs in Flaine and La Plagne in France. These offer a flexible combination of services including morning ski school lessons, escorting to and from ski school, care during lunch-time and afternoon play sessions. For any non-skiing children then either six full or six half-days care include activities, games and fun in the snow.
Whizzclusive childcare is avalable in nine resorts offering full day care for children from 3 -11 years from £249. Includes six days morning ski school, drop off/pick up, lunch and afternoon care. There is a new Whizz Kids Club (children aged 3 -11 years) in Scheffau and Niederau and a new Pepi Penguin Club (children aged 6 months-4 years) in La Plagne Centre and Niederau. Children also receive free helmet hire with all pre-booked skis and boots.
For younger children, resorts such as Scheffau in Austria, a lively and popular resort that’s a firm favourite with Crystal skiers, have a Crystal Pepi Penguin Club, combining a little skiing with playing outdoors for children aged from 6 months to 4 years.
The great value Crystal Ski private nanny service has also been expanded to all Crystal Finest apartments in Courchevel, Méribel, La Plagne, Les Arcs, Les Menuires, Tignes, Val d’Isère, La Rosière, St Martin de Belleville and Flaine.
PLUS all of our usual well thought-out extras that make holidaying with children a joy can also be arranged: baby monitor rental; portable DVD player rental, bottle warmer rental and our popular evening ‘Pyjama and Snuggle Clubs’, that let all the family enjoy a relaxed end to the day. We provide full support for families in our designated family resorts offering more choice and options.
Another NEW addition this winter is our range of French international kids clubs which operate in the well-known resorts of Morzine, La Plagne, Les 2 Alpes, Les Arcs & Tignes. Offering a mix of baby care (4mths-3yrs), mini clubs (3 or 4-5yrs) which include AM ski & PM care and a full day ski kids club (6-12yrs). All clubs are French run by qualified staff that speak English and include evening care.
Whatever your age – you’re never too young or too old to fly off to the snow.
