It’s important for our membership to work with the legislature to preserve the independence of the judiciary and the Bar
Sarasota, Fl (PRWEB) November 07, 2011
Sarasota DUI Defense and traffic ticket defense firm Finebloom & Haenel, P.A. recently sponsored the 2011 Bench Bar Legislative Forum for the Sarasota County Bar Association. The event, held Oct. 13, was attended by SCBA members throughout the area. Speakers and panel from throughout the State of Florida focused on the relationship among legislators, attorneys and the judiciary.
Darren Finebloom and David Haenel, the firm’s partners, gladly gave support to this effort by the Sarasota County Bar Association leadership to monitor and respond to legislation that directly affects members of the Bar. “It’s important for our membership to work with the legislature to preserve the independence of the judiciary and the Bar,” says DUI defense attorney Darren Finebloom, also president of the Sarasota chapter of the Florida Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers.
Speakers at the 2011 Forum included Michael P. Allen, professor at Stetson University College of Law; and Keith Fitzgerald, associate professor of political science, New College of Florida, and former State Representative. Says criminal defense attorney David Haenel, “We were pleased to sponsor this level and quality of program for the Sarasota County Bar Association and our fellow members.”
