Today, Give2Asia, a U.S.-based public nonprofit promoting transformative philanthropy for Asia, announces four new fiscal sponsorships with local charitable groups in Asia. The Riverkids Foundation, Synergy Social Ventures, Access Quality International, and Ashray Akruti help Asia’s most vulnerable populations through innovation, development and education.

Give2Asia has formed fiscal sponsorships with over 130 world-class organizations in Asia, helping them build their programs, expand their impact, and further develop Asia’s nonprofit sector. These new fiscal partnerships are designed specifically to help our new partners network and fundraise with their supporters in the U.S.

Riverkids Foundation

For families in the slums of Phnom Penh, Cambodia, sending children to school instead of sending them to work on the streets is an impossible dream. Riverkids was founded to combat the exploitation of impoverished children who are often trafficked to neighboring countries to beg, sell candy and shine shoes. Those who stay in Cambodia are sometimes sold into slavery to serve as beggars, child prostitutes, and domestic servants. Riverkids fights these practices by providing families with healthcare, education, counseling, food, microloans and other services. It now serves over 600 children from four locations in Cambodia. U.S. donors are now able to support the Riverkids Foundation by visiting http://give2asia.org/riverkids.

Synergy Social Ventures

Synergy Social Ventures focuses on solving social and environmental problems by establishing for-profit, non-profit and hybrid organizations. Through innovative business models, Synergy aims to find long-term solutions and bypass the fluctuations in donor funding. Based in Hong Kong and San Francisco, Synergy works to reduce poverty through economic development, increase access to essential goods, and create environmental sustainability throughout Southeast Asia. U.S. donors can now support Synergy Social Ventures by visiting http://give2asia.org/synergy.

Access Quality International

Access Quality International is a technical assistance agency for organizations that work with sex workers, drug users and the homeless in Thailand, specifically focusing on HIV/AIDS prevention. It provides technical, managerial, quality assurance, workforce development and institutional learning services for organizations that assist Thailand’s most vulnerable. U.S. donors will soon be able to support Access Quality International by visiting http://give2asia.org/funds.

Ashray Akruti

What started with just 5 children has grown to serve 185 children. Students at the school are trained in the Oral Aural method, encouraging them to speak rather than rely on sign language. They are also coached for SSC Board Examinations of the Government of Andhra Pradesh State. Since its inception, Ashray Akruti has successfully integrated 130 children into normal schools, colleges, and universities U.S. donors can support Ashray Akruti by visiting http://give2asia.org/ashrayakruti.
