This imaginative book offers a roadmap of 35 relapse prevention skills never before published. Life After Rehab recommends four therapeutic goals for continued sobriety after addiction treatment: 1) abstinence from all obsessive habits, 2) positive self-esteem, 3) spiritual discipline and 4) sober networking. Powerful psychological techniques, including active imagination, paradoxical intention and cognitive restructuring are supported in each chapter by factual references and written, meditative or imagination exercises.

“Recovery is like a lifeboat on a stormy ocean. Life After Rehab provides a safe harbor. The word therapy in Greek means ‘healing the soul,’ and relapse prevention is the book’s therapeutic soul,” the author writes.
