San Franciscans are tired of waiting. There are simple solutions that we can start right now. That’s why our campaign is starting with the L-Taraval Express pilot project.

Building on the successful L-Taraval Express pilot project last week, Phil Ting and his Reset San Francisco campaign will pilot their own L-Taraval Muni Express Bus — this time from 40th Avenue & Taraval Street to Downtown San Francisco on Monday, November 7.

“I’m like every other voter in San Francisco at this point — sick of promises and ready for solutions. On Monday, we are going to show L-Taraval riders that solutions are available to speed up the Municipal Railway,” Ting said.

Over the past ten weeks, Phil Ting’s campaign has held ten Muni town hall meetings throughout the city to bring San Franciscans together to build support for a faster and more reliable Muni. And this idea was spurred from a L-Taraval Muni Town Hall after riders heard about the successful and well-regarded NX-Judah Express.

Phil Ting said, “Our campaign is all about making San Francisco city government as innovative as San Franciscans. If we can fix Muni, we can fix anything."

Ting noted SFMTA already has a road map to Muni reform called the Transit Effectiveness Project, but there have been long delays in implementing the report’s recommendations.

“San Franciscans are tired of waiting. There are simple solutions that we can start right now. That’s why our campaign is starting with the L-Taraval Express pilot project.”
