We want to ensure all member firms are communicating openly and clearly with each other, to guarantee mutual understanding and the continuance of exceptional client services, globally.
Toronto, Canada (PRWEB UK) 9 November 2011
At the 2011 IRC Global Executive Search Partners (IRC) conference in Santiago, Chile, members celebrated the alliance’s global expansion – during the past two years, IRC has added 17 new members, eight in 2010 and nine in 2011 – and further developed its successful trademark vision, namely: ‘Different Cultures, Common Goals: Staging IRC’s Future’.
SPIRIT OF IRC
Professionalism, dedication, tolerance, respect, democracy, diversity and friendship are established IRC cornerstones, forming a unique spirit that distinguishes its successful approach to be a truly global executive search alliance. Such global growth brings challenging dynamics, which necessitated a two-part conference at Santiago – continuing the successful communication between diverse IRC member firms, and planning for the alliance’s ongoing global evolution.
COMMUNICATIONS: openness, empathy, tolerance and respect
Sylvia MacArthur, president of the Executive Board of IRC Global Executive Search Partners, explains IRC’s approach to effective communication: “The alliance’s growth means we are constantly on a learning curve regarding cultural and communication norms within different countries. We want to ensure all member firms are communicating openly and clearly with each other, to guarantee mutual understanding and the continuance of exceptional client services, globally – and maintaining our strong business culture of openness, empathy, tolerance and respect.”
Sergio Pereira, guest speaker from MAPA Consulting, presented dynamic ideas on cultural differences in his presentation: ‘Understanding and Embracing Cultural Differences’.
PLANNING for continued global growth
The tightly structured strategic planning session focused on IRC’s expectations for continued global growth. As Sylvia explains: “It’s unusual to have a strategic planning session with the full membership involved, but we felt it [the conference] was an excellent opportunity to get a real perspective on members’ needs, and their expectations for the alliance’s global growth.”
Valdivo Begali, the facilitator from Cia. de Planejamento, together with his son Rodrigo Begali, led the strategic session outlining IRC’s strategy for the near future.
COMMERCIAL responsibilities: Board and Regional & Practice Group
Monicca Yan (Singapore & China) stepped down from the Board, and is now responsible for the Regional Leadership (AsiaPac region). Rolf Kåre Nilsen (Norway) has broader Regional responsibility, expanding from Regional Leader for the Nordic region to Regional Leader for Europe , Middle East, Africa and Asia (EMEA). Konstantin Borisov (Russia) is Global Practice Head – Energy. Patrick Westerburger (Netherlands) joined the Board.
Sylvia confirmed IRC 2011 Conference’s success: “We got exceptional, positive feedback from members immediately after the conference, and see a real commitment to do their part in IRC’s continued growth.”
