The professionals at Briggs Buick GMC - the leading GMC dealer in Manhattan, KS - are excited about the new navigation system in the Terrain. GMC is already known as a leader when it comes to vehicle technology for the 21st century, but their latest navigation additions make a great system even better.

Offering a full range of functions including maps, directions, music, hands-free phone, and three months of SiriusXM NavTraffic and local forecast, the new Terrain’s Color Touch Navigation System also comes with a new Color Touch Radio System.

The system will also have onboard navigation capabilities, including a secure digital card-based map database that can be updated, many different map views and a multitude of input methods to enter the destination.

“Terrain’s Color Touch Navigation System is practical, purposeful technology with a high-tech look and feel at an economical price point compared to competing systems,” said Dave Bojanowski, GM navigation systems engineer.

“Anyone familiar with smartphones or tablet computers will find its 7-inch color touch-screen and large app icons intuitive and easy to use.”

By offering hands-free control of Bluetooth phones and voice commands through OnStar, Terrain’s Color Touch system allows drivers to keep their hands on the wheel and eyes on the road, making it safe and useful at the same time.

The system will also offer an SD card reader that will be connected to a photo viewer function that lets passengers view pictures from cameras or other devices in the display when the Terrain is parked. The LCD screen also displays album art stored on a connected iPod, which is quite nice for music lovers.

“Today’s car buyers don’t want to settle for mass-market radio, and they don’t have to,” said Tim Nixon, executive director, Global Electrical Systems, Infotainment and Electrification, citing GM research.

“They expect to have access to personalized media wherever they are and the introduction of the Color Touch Radio and Navigation System makes media personalization easier than ever.”

Local consumers who want to learn more about any of the great new models from GMC or Buick - including the GMC Terrain - should stop in at Briggs Buick GMC. They are the premiere GMC dealership in Manhattan, KS and surrounding communities.
