Beatrice McClearn, author of Diaries of an Emotional Prostitute, has plenty to go around this holiday season. For many, the gifts come earlier than expected.

Each year between Veteran's Day and November 18, McClearn visits Washington, D.C.'s homeless community to surprise a random homeless person with an undisclosed amount of cash. This year she calls others to do the same.

McClearn states, "It's important to not only be thankful for your blessings, but to share some of your fortune with others." You don't have to live in the Washington, D.C. area, or give money to participate.

Also this year, McClearn, an admirer of famous female authors such as J.K. Rowling and Stephenie Meyers, has decided to give one lucky winner two (2) FREE AMC Small Popcorn vouchers to support The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part I movie coming to theaters this November 18. In addition, McClearn will send the recipient a copy of her own novel, Diaries of an Emotional Prostitute. No purchase necessary. Participants can enter via McClearn's website ( But they must hurry! Giveaway ends November 14 @ Midnight to allow shipping before Twilight’s November 18 release.

As if the aforementioned wasn't enough, November 26 marks the start of Beatrice McClearn's Annual College Bound Outreach. The contest pays for THREE (3) college application fees for TWO (2) lucky contestants with a cumulative G.P.A. of 3.0 and higher.
