Pingar, a leading provider of unstructured data management solutions today announced their first major North American partnership, an agreement with New Idea Engineering, a recognized leader in building effective search strategies for business advantage. New Idea Engineering will include Pingar technology in the development of custom enterprise search solutions to augment existing search platforms’ ability to return comprehensive and more accurate search results, to redact and sanitize sensitive information and to summarize large volumes of content.

In order to bring the most innovative and useful enterprise search solutions to market, New Idea Engineering partners with independent companies that provide powerful and useful tools to support the tasks that its customers need to address in specific and innovative ways.

Miles Kehoe, president of New Idea Engineering, says “Pingar has developed a suite of components that deliver capabilities beyond what most enterprise-class search vendors’ offer, packaged in a way that makes it easy to integrate with virtually any platform. Several of our existing customers are interested in the summarization, entity extraction, and redaction capabilities that Pingar offers. We can see how these and other Pingar technologies will be of help to our customers across North America.”

Because Pingar’s API is scalable, lightweight, easy to deploy, and platform agnostic, solutions created with Pingar can integrate with any enterprise content management or document management solution. By layering the Pingar API on top of enterprise search platforms such as FAST, Google, Endeca and Autonomy as well as open source solutions like Solr, New Idea Engineering can help enterprises improve their document management capabilities by turning unstructured data into structured, searchable content.

Peter Wren-Hilton, Pingar CEO says “Pingar’s capabilities will help NIE to deliver solutions that instantly add metadata according to business or government taxonomies, making it possible to identify the content as well as context of documents, and return a more comprehensive list of information that matches search terms.”

Pingar’s process is intuitive, and yields more contextually relevant results and tools to extract information, analyze content and instantly add content-specific metadata tags. Pingar’s base technology consists of 18 core API components and currently is available for both English and Chinese language sets, with new language modules available soon.
