R2 Logistics, a third party logistics company, today announced it has opened a new corporate headquarters in Jacksonville, Florida, at 10739 Deerwood Park Blvd, Suite 103. Previously, the headquarters was located in Columbus, Ohio and shared office space with the operations branch at that location. This is the fourth location for an R2 office in addition to operation branches in Columbus, OH, Detroit, MI, and Jacksonville, FL.

“When we opened our operations branch in Jacksonville back in February of 2010 we were keeping in mind how companies shipping goods throughout the world are increasing their use of containers. Jacksonville just so happened to be a city that was expanding its infrastructure [The Jacksonville Port Authority] to support this growth and it was a natural fit for R2 as well,” said Ben Gase, CEO. “We’ve seen some amazing growth over the past couple years, and we eventually outgrew the space we had available at the Columbus location. Given the opportunity, we decided we should move our headquarters to ‘The Sunshine State’ as well.”

Located at the headquarters will be all high level executives as well as the front office administration including Carrier Services and Billing Departments.
