San Francisco, California (PRWEB) November 08, 2011
FORA.tv and Intelligence² UK and FORA.tv announced today a program change to the upcoming conversation between famed public intellectual Christopher Hitchens and his good friend, actor and writer Stephen Fry, scheduled for live broadcast from London, on Wednesday, November 9, 2011 at 8:30pm GMT (3:30pm ET and 12:30pm PT).
Hitchens has pneumonia and will be unable to participate in the event.
Fry will now be joined on both sides of the Atlantic by close friends and colleagues of Hitchens including Martin Amis and Christopher Buckley via Satellite link from New York and Richard Dawkins live on stage at Southbank Centre’s Royal Festival Hall in London.
Fry will lead a discussion on the “Life, Love and Hates of Christopher Hitchens.”
In what promises to be a stimulating and lively evening, Fry, Amis, Buckley and Dawkins will examine their own – and Hitchens’ – ideas of what constitutes the good life and the good death, all seen against the backdrop of Hitchens’ career, the causes dear to his heart, the controversies that he has enjoyed provoking and the things that make life worth defending.
FORA.tv will serve as the exclusive global distributor of the live program. Tickets for live and on-demand viewing can be purchased for £5 (approx. $7.88 U.S.) at hitchfry.fora.tv. The event will begin streaming on Wednesday, November 9.
