...we are looking forward to taking device connectivity and synchronization to a whole new standard

Laplink Software, Inc. will change the way devices connect with each other to easily and seamlessly synchronize data without external hardware with help in part from Intel Corporation.
This new technology will remove extra and painful steps of having to make sure external hardware, such as a wireless network, is in place in order to connect PCs and devices together. This eliminates the need for all devices to be connected to the same network in order to communicate and transfer data.
“We couldn’t be more excited to work with Intel on this new technology,” said Laplink CEO Thomas Koll. “Our application coupled with Intel hardware will change the way users connect their devices at home, at work and on the go.”
Laplink will take device synchronization options to new levels with its innovative sync product as it will include multi-platform support. The new product is an upgrade to Laplink’s existing sync product, PCsync®, and includes patented technology SpeedSync® and SmartXchange® synchronization.
Laplink was the first to make PC-to-PC communication possible when it introduced the Laplink Cable in the early 1980s. With this new partnership, Laplink will ensure that it remains a leading innovator in synchronization and connectivity technology for many years to come.
“It’s exciting for us to build on our expertise in PC connectivity,” continued Koll. “Laplink was founded on the ability for PCs to communicate and we are looking forward to taking device connectivity and synchronization to a whole new standard.”
More details about this technology will be announced in the first quarter of 2012 and will be available at laplink.com.
