Ziosoft/Qi Imaging, the leader in supercomputing visualization and functional analytics, will showcase the company’s PhyZiodynamics inVivo technology at the annual Radiology Society of North America Congress being held November 27 – December 1, 2011 in Chicago. This quantitative intelligent technology enables true fidelity 4D (3D in motion) and the gateway to 5D (functional analytics of motion) imaging. The company will host live demonstrations throughout show hours and congress attendees will be able to navigate interactively with a “live” beating heart, contrast perfused brain tumor and other anatomy.
“The ability to produce true fidelity 4D images with such incredible accuracy provides the basis for us to take it to the next level of applying functional analytics,” said E. Brian Butler, MD, professor and chairman of Radiation Oncology, The Methodist Hospital, Houston. “Ziosoft is being utilized in a 3D,4D, 5D visualization environment called Plato’s CAVE (Computer Augmented Virtual Environment). Using deformable registration software technology, Ziosoft is able to provide significant motion coherence and noise reduction. This is going to allow us to move into additional dimensions such as 5D.”
PhyZiodynamic inVivo technology applies supercomputing to patient care. The open standard architecture of this powerful software can be used with any DICOM imaging modality including CT, MR, PET and others. It allows multiple concurrent users per server throughout the enterprise system, enabling appropriate, actionable outcomes across the patient continuum.

The company will also be presenting MR cardiac strain analysis and CT electrophysiology analysis as a works in progress (WIP). New enhancements to the Ziostation® software platform will be featured as well. These include a lesion management tool for oncology (WIP) and enhanced vessel analysis which can be used with customized protocols as defined by the user.
