Schools need to teach students about sustainable food production, AND save money

With School Budgets being cut, FeedOurPlanet.Com Inc, a Florida Company, is announcing a solution that can help by providing its innovative, Vertical Food Growing Towers on a financially attractive Program, “Buy 2 and we’ll give 1 free!”.

In a test program for a Special Needs School, it was found that the Vertical Food Growing Towers can provide at least 3 benefits to the students:
1. Learning “hands on” about food and how to grow it
2. Pride and teamwork to manage the production of food
3. The food so grown can help feed the school, thereby saving precious budget money.

“In some schools, they can even start selling the food to raise money!” says Peter Michie, President of FeedOurPlanet.Com Inc.

Standing about 5 feet high, a typical FOODY is a Vertical Tower consisting of a reservoir and 4 growing pods. The reservoir holds excess water & nutrient solution and has room for 6 plant sites, plus each pod has 8 spaces for more. In this typical configuration, 38 plants can be grown in an area of less than 2 sq feet. A smaller version is available, or another pod can be added to yield a total of 46 plant sites per tower.

Plants can be grown in these towers two ways: traditionally, using a modified top-soil mixture; or hydroponically, using an inert growing medium, and plants can be fed with a water & nutrient solution either manually or automatically.

Ecologically speaking, growing food with FOODY towers has the least environmental impact. Neither water nor fertilizer is wasted. In fact, it is recycled until the plants absorb it.

For Schools, FeedOurPlanet.Com offers special pricing on these systems, plus help to raise donations from supporters. “We want to be part of a solution, even if it means cutting our profit margin,” says Michie. “Please visit the website for more information!”
