Despite this lack of job growth, Connect Your Home has seen a workforce increase of nearly 40% in the last two years and looks to boost employment by 20% through 2012.

While the nation works to provide a solution to the unwavering unemployment rate at 9.0%, Connect Your Home, an award-winning leader in providing consumers with affordable home services, continues to support job growth by hiring local talent as a strategic initiative in response to the recession. Proving that the U.S. has a lot of ground to gain in the recovery process, the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics reported a high, but unyielding unemployment rate which remains at “a narrow range of 9.0 to 9.2 percent since April.” Despite this lack of job growth, Connect Your Home has seen a workforce increase of nearly 40% in the last two years and looks to boost employment by 20% through 2012.

Connect Your Home has expanded upon its product offerings in 2011, becoming an authorized retailer for brands including Verizon FiOS, Windstream and Tech Support for Dummies. Originally, Connect Your Home began its business in 2000 with its focus on selling DISH Network, and since then has added over 12 additional brands to its portfolio, with several in the pipeline. As product offerings increased over the years, Connect Your Home looks to expand overall through the fourth quarter of 2011.

“By adjusting our strategic operations during the recession, we have been able to improve areas of efficiency, reinvest back into the company and diversify,” said Jerell Goodman, chief of operations at Connect Your Home. “We are able to grow our business during this economic time because we’re similar to a concierge service that matches products people need in their daily life, with the best custom solutions.”

The 76 employee-wide company in Southern California, houses a call center with sales and customer service staff, a marketing department complete with a web and graphic design team, affiliate marketing representatives, admin professionals and a handful of managers who guide each department. Many employees have been with Connect Your Home since the inception of its first product offering, DISH Network, in 2000. Employees have mentioned that the work environment at Connect Your Home is not only professional, but also enjoyable due to the flat screen TVs in each department and company-wide meetings and barbeques.

“Connect Your Home has seen significant growth within our retail scope over the last few years, which has allowed us to continually expand our workforce. Our ability to grow the company in a down economy is really a testament to the talented group of diverse individuals we’ve hired,” said Michael Ryan Grier, vice president of marketing at Connect Your Home.

Not only does Connect Your Home consist of a culturally diverse team, but Connect Your Home is also proud to have on board former military service men and women. Even more Connect Your Home jobs will be added to each department by the end of 2011. The HR department is currently accepting applications for those who are interested in an employment opportunity with Connect Your Home. Applicants are also encouraged to call the company directly at 949-777-0100.
