Responding to market trends: People want well-crafted software

Today, Aspenware announced the formation of a User Experience practice. The group is charged with creating amazing experiences both within the software created by Aspenware and the manner in which the company engages its employees, customers, partners and community. Dan Larson will serve as the practice director and oversee its direction and execution.

The formation of the group is based upon deeply held values of the Aspenware team as well as significant market trends that include: people's expectation of a great technology experience at work, modern businesses shift from factory-type work to creative ideation and production, and the maturation of expectations that businesses have of their service providers.

"We are extremely excited about these shifts and what it means for companies that value high levels of craftsmanship and collaboration," says Josh Swihart, President and CEO of Aspenware. "We are finally telling business people that their experience at work is important and what they bring to a solution has immense value. We are in the business of creating amazing. It is not something we do for them, but with them."

While the practice is formally established today, Aspenware's team has already been working with clients such as New Belgium Brewing Co., Vail Resorts, eCollege, COPIC, and Xcel Energy.
