Human Element provided information architecture, creative design and web development for Burroughs-Recycles.com, a new site that highlights IT Asset Recovery's unique green services, which include electronic equipment recovery and recycling, refurbished computer resale and IT lifecycle management

We believe this new website will allow our division to grow even more as the green movement expands. Human Element was instrumental in providing the necessary direction and professional expertise to complete the project.

This week, Human Element Technology Consultants launched http://www.burroughs-recycles.com, a dynamic new DotNetNuke-based website representing the IT Asset Recovery division of Burroughs Payment Systems.

Burroughs IT Asset Recovery provides computer recycling, data destruction and security, eWaste disposal and refurbished computer resale, not only for the Burroughs corporation and Burroughs products, but for outside businesses and organizations that need to dispose of outdated or out-of-use IT equipment and computers. Services include transportation for all assets, an audit of equipment received and documentation of resale or disposal.

Although IT Asset Recovery operates under the umbrella of Burroughs Payment Systems, the business doesn’t fit neatly under Burroughs’ cash automation and payment services and needed a separate web presence. Burroughs partnered with Human Element to design and complete the project in less than 30 days.

Burroughs-Recycles.com underscores the unique nature of IT Asset Recovery’s eWaste recycling and resale services and offers insight into the program’s processes and certifications, which include one of only 11 Green Recycling and Asset Disposal for the Enterprise (G.R.A.D.E.) distinctions awarded by the International Data Corporation, a National Association for Information Destruction membership, ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management and ISO 14001:2004 Environmental System Certifications and the Microsoft Registered Refurbisher Accreditation.

“We believe this site will allow our division to grow even more as the green movement expands and the demand for IT asset disposal and computer recycling increases,” said Bob Anger, IT Asset Recovery Program Manager. “Human Element was instrumental in providing the necessary direction and professional expertise to complete the project quickly. This website is a terrific representation of what we do.”
