Attorneys Ralph and Thomas Skilken both graduated from Ohio Northern Law School and gained significant trial experience by beginning in the practice of law as Assistant Ohio Attorneys General, Ralph in 1968 and Tom in 1978. Later in their careers, Ralph & Tom practiced together under the firm name of Skilken Lowe & Dankof. When a partner was appointed to the Common Pleas bench, they formed the firm of Skilken & Skilken. While partners at Skilken Lowe & Dankof, they worked together on a number of significant cases for the benefit of their clients.
Ralph has represented individuals and small businesses in transactional work and litigation including labor matters, business disputes, personal injury and professional negligence cases, insurance coverage issues, business ownership and valuation disputes fraud and creditor rights issues, commercial and residential construction disputes and disputes between other lawyers and their clients. This litigation experience has helped Ralph to develop a strongly preventative approach to legal problem-solving.
Tom began in the practice of law as an Assistant Attorney General representing the Ohio Bureau of Workers Compensation where he gained significant jury trial experience. Prior to joining Skilken Lowe & Dankof, Tom was the directing attorney at Thomas Skilken & Associates, where he specialized in representing injured clients utilizing the latest in legal research and software technology to achieve outstanding results for his clients. Tom’s outstanding litigation skills have been recognized by other attorneys who have engaged Tom as co-counsel in significant business litigation and commercial disputes.
