Certified Nutrition and Holistic Lifestyle Health Coach Sherry Guastini, owner of Insightful Wellness, announced the launch of her new website (http://www.insightful wellness.com) geared at providing personalized support and guidance to improve individual health and wellness. “If your doctor has recommended a dietary or lifestyle change that you find unsustainable, then you might want to consider working with a holistic health coach,” said Guastini.
Health Coaches are knowledgeable advisors who provide ongoing support and guidance setting goals and making sustainable changes to improve health and happiness. “I listen carefully to my clients and help them navigate the world of contradictory nutrition advice to determine what changes are necessary in their lifestyle,” said Guastini.
Guastini received her training from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition in New York, the largest nutrition school in the world and the only one combining traditional philosophies with modern concepts supported by the USDA food pyramid, the glycemic index, the Zone, Raw Foods and Super Foods. She is also certified by the American Association of Drugless Practitioners.
“My interest in nutrition came with my growing awareness that our ‘gut is our second brain.’ This reality was sparked by the birth of my second child who has chemical sensitivities. Through my own observations as his mother, I became an avid label reader and began to question what the chemical ingredients in our food were doing to our health,” Guastini said
“I went back to school and also became a member of The Feingold Association, a comprehensive program for dietary management, joined a natural food coop and began implementing the food and lifestyle alternatives I’d learned about. I soon began seeing positive changes in my child after removing certain foods from his diet like fast food, processed foods, dyes and chemicals.”
“In the course of healing my child, I too began healing from indigestion, low energy and high stress. A happy side effect from that healing was weight loss; the extra pounds I’d gained over the years began to melt away. How I eat today is different from ten years ago or even four years ago. The best part is, I feel better now than I did in my 30s!” said Guastini.
Guastini’s Insightful Wellness Center works with each individual to explore their specific concerns and discover the tools needed for a lifetime of balance. They also help to:
● set and accomplish goals in a way that’s empowering and exciting;
● work to achieve and maintain ideal weight;
● understand and reduce cravings;
● increase energy levels;
● feel great about your body;
● learn about new foods and how you can easily incorporate them;
● improve our personal relationships;
● discover the confidence to create the life you want.
“Together we work to reach the individual’s health goals in areas like optimal weight, reducing food cravings, increasing sleep, and maximizing energy. As we work together, I help the individual to develop a deeper understanding of the food and lifestyle choices that work best and implement lasting changes that improve energy, balance and health,” said Guastini.
“Lifestyle is every bit as important to your health as what you choose to put into your mouth. The Center for Disease Control now acknowledges that 87% of all disease begins with stress,” she said. “That realization led me to school once again to pursue philosophy and I became certified as an Integrative Yoga Therapy Teacher at One Yoga Center just outside of Providence, trained by Ellen Schaeffer and Certified by the Yoga Alliance. My Yoga training brought a deeper understanding of the profound effect a holistic approach to wellness can truly bring,” she added.
