The Association for Dressings & Sauces named its Dressing of the Year, Sauce of the Year and Package of the Year Award winners at its Annual Meeting held October 22-24, 2011 at Disney’s BoardWalk Resort in Lake Buena Vista, Florida.
Here are the winners:
- 2011 Dressing of the Year-Litehouse, Inc. for its Pear Gorgonzola Vinaigrette Dressing
- 2011 Sauce of the Year-Chelten House Products, Inc. for its Hot and Sweet Mustard
- 2011 Package of the Year-Heinz North America for its Heinz® Dip & Squeeze™ Ketchup
The Dressing of the Year and Sauce of the Year Awards are presented by ADS to recognize and celebrate dressing and sauce products that are innovative and flavorful. The Package of the Year Award was developed to increase the awareness of packaging in general and to celebrate the accomplishments of the packaging industry for dressing, sauce and condiment-related packaging.
Nominations for each award were received from ADS members and then were voted on by members via a blind taste test for the dressings and sauce awards, and by visual presentation for the package award, at the ADS Technical Meeting in Tampa, Florida. ADS members voted for the dressing sand sauce deemed to have the best overall taste and the package deemed to have the best presentation.
