Bluegreen Vacations, a leading provider of Colorful Places to Play, today announced its Orlando, Fla., resort, The Fountains, is a prime location for owners to stay while attending the inaugural Orlando Calling music festival, Nov. 12 - 13, 2011.

Orlando Calling is a two-day, multi-stage music festival held at the Florida Citrus Bowl in the heart of downtown Orlando. Bluegreen owners will have to opportunity to add to their vacation experiences with performances by classic-rock legend Bob Seger; indie-rock sensation the Killers; hip-hop/R&B singer Kid Cudi; indie-rock pioneers the Pixies; and numerous other contemporary music artists. In addition to platinum-selling marquee acts, local performers will also be on stage at the festival’s Art House, where Bluegreen owners can get a more intimate, “coffee house feel” type of concert complete with smaller stages, couches and a full-service coffee and liquor bar. After the music ends, shuttles will be running all day and night from the Citrus Bowl to local area bars and clubs downtown.

The Fountains provides the perfect retreat after a day of Orlando’s festivals, events and attractions. The resort’s two-bedroom villas provide all the comforts of home. Most villas feature a screened balcony overlooking the property lake, a fully-equipped kitchen, a garden tub, and a surround sound stereo system. The resort’s main pool, Wakoola Springs, is a 75,000-square-foot tropical oasis with two twisting water slides, a zero-entry pool, interactive water fountains, two hot tubs, two bridges, and two fire circles for campfires. A 20,000-square-foot clubhouse, a gift shop, a teen center, and a kid’s activity center with video games, air hockey, and billiard tables are sure to keep owners and their families busy.

“The Orlando Calling music festival is a great way for owners to add to their vacation experiences,” said David DeShaw, Regional Director for Bluegreen Corporation. “The festival’s lively ambiance and epic performances epitomizes Orlando’s rich entertainment background. There will definitely be something for everyone.”
