Strawberry Rhubarb and Peach Win Open Flavor Yogurt Category at World Dairy Expo

If milk does a body good, then the 65,000+ dairy enthusiasts attending the World Dairy Expo in Madison, WI, were in fine form. As part of the annual dairy industry event, there were several contests and competitions including the World Dairy Expo (WDE) Championship Dairy Product Contest where submissions were made in several categories including cheese, milk, yogurt and ice cream. Today, Noosa Yoghurt is proud to announce that they received the Gold and Bronze awards in the “Open Flavor Yogurt” category.

Noosa is a uniquely thick, velvety and deliciously tangy/sweet yoghurt made with all natural ingredients, including milk from Bellvue Dairy. Inspired by rich Greek yoghurts, Noosa blends their yoghurt in small batches and infuses it with Colorado clover alfalfa honey and all natural fruit purees.

This year, a record number of 705 dairy products were entered in the competition. Judging was held at the University of Wisconsin – Madison’s Babcock Hall Dairy Plant and at the Madison Area Technical College (MATC) Culinary School.

During the October Expo, all of the first place products were auctioned off to benefit the Dr. Robert Bradley Scholarship Fund, which will be awarded annually to a deserving student pursuing a career in the dairy industry.
