Wahl can be seen creating the Steve Jobs painting in this viral YouTube tribute to Steve Jobs:

Erik Wahl’s artwork is exclusively available though his live tour performances or occasionally through his secret art treasure hunts called art drops. Wahl describes his art drops as being a way of engaging people to action. Through his Art Drops, his sought after artwork is available to anyone who is willing to participate in the creative process. The current virtual art drop sweepstakes is aimed at those who are not able to participate in the physical art drops.

Erik Wahl comments on the art drop phenomenon, “I started Art Drops in an effort to decommoditize my art. Because I do not sell it the demand is very high - and I want to make it available to the people who are the most creatively engaged not the person with the most money. Even though the Steve Jobs performance painting was just recently auctioned at the Xprize foundation dinner for $27,500, I want that opportunity to be available for anyone to own one of my paintings.”

Individuals may enter up to five times before the deadline of December 11th using various social networking platforms. The grand prizewinner will receive a Steve Jobs painting (32 x 48) acrylic and latex paint on Canvas as seen being painted in Wahl’s tribute video. For more details on how to enter, visit
