Orange22's new products, Solid and Catch have eight more days to fund on Kickstarter. Solid is an iPad stand and Catch geniously solves the problem of falling wires. Both are made from solid walnut or maple. The minimalist forms are the result of an ongoing frustration with the lack of authentic materials for similar products in the same market.
"We are too often surrounded by impersonal objects made of plastics. Solid and Catch are sculpted from real wood resulting in forms that beckon exploration while evoking curiosity," states Antonioni, creative director of Orange22.
Solid and Catch are manufactured in Rumford, Maine from sustainably harvested maple and walnut wood from the picturesque Mahoosuc Mountain Range. Master craftsmen use a precision 5-axis CNC to create the initial form then sand it to perfection by hand. Natural oils are then applied resulting in a beautiful, real wood product thats build to endure multiple lifetimes.
Solids intelligent design provides viewing angles that are optimized for sitting or standing by simply rotating the stand. This makes it the perfect tablet stand for reading email, surfing the web, listening to music or watching video. Beautifully sculpted trays in the stand accommodate personal items.
Catch is simply brilliant. We all know how agitating it can be when charging cables fall off the desk. Catch's clever design leverages gravity to neatly accommodate all cords, both in a vertical and horizontal orientation. It's sculptural silhouette turns any desk into a design statement. Use Solid and Catch together or alone. Either way they'll add a touch of luxury.
