CSU-Global Supports All of Colorado with Affordable Educational Opportunities and its Expanded Program for Colorado Community College System Students

According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, professionals with an associate’s degree earn an average of 8% more than individuals with no degree. Professionals with a bachelor’s degree earn 35% more than those with an associate’s degree.

Colorado State University-Global Campus (CSU-Global) is proud to announce its expansion of its Commitment to Colorado program to provide affordable, accessible higher education opportunities for all citizens of the Centennial State.

Last year as part of the CSU System’s Commitment to Colorado, CSU-Global announced that public Colorado community college students who have an associate’s degree would be guaranteed admission to CSU-Global with transfer of up to 64 credit hours towards their bachelor’s degree.

This year, CSU-Global has expanded its program to provide Colorado students who have one academic year or 15 credit hours until completion of their associate’s degree from a public Colorado community college the ability to lock in their CSU-Global tuition rate and meet with a CSU-Global student advisor.

Additionally, under the university’s Tuition Guarantee, once the tuition rate has been set, students will pay the same rate from their first CSU-Global class through graduation. The early tuition lock will help prevent the students from experiencing an expected rise in tuition, and this tuition guarantee with no student fees will also help ensure that students have the financial means to obtain their bachelor’s degree.

“We believe that it is important that students have the ability to plan for their bachelor’s degree completion both academically and financially,” stated Dr. Becky Takeda-Tinker, President of CSU-Global. “CSU-Global’s commitment to students from a public Colorado community college is intended to encourage their associate’s degree completion and to facilitate a smooth transition to CSU-Global to complete their bachelor’s degree.”

As a mission-focused university and part of the Colorado State University (CSU) System, CSU-Global is committed to contributing to a brighter future for Colorado. By making higher education more accessible, the university aims to improve the economy, community, and quality of life for all Coloradans. CSU-Global serves professional adults and nontraditional learners who have full-time jobs and life obligations and who want to continue their professional development through 100% online degree programs.

As part of its Commitment to Colorado, CSU-Global Campus provides students from a public Colorado community college institution:
•Guaranteed admission
•Transfer of up to 64 credit hours for students who have an associate’s degree
•Guaranteed tuition rates for continuously enrolled students through graduation
•Tuition lock for students within one year (or 15 credits) of completing their associate’s degree
•100% online classes with a term starting every month
•Discounted tuition rates for military service men and women and their family members

According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, professionals with an associate’s degree earn an average of 8% more than individuals with no degree. Professionals with a bachelor’s degree earn 35% more than those with an associate’s degree. CSU-Global works with public Colorado community colleges to help students interested in continuing their education beyond their associate’s degree by providing simplified admission, affordable tuition, and 100% online coursework for professionals with many existing obligations.
