Digital Dogs, a Scottsdale Internet marketing company, participated as an exhibitor in the 2011 Phoenix Business Growth Expo on November 8. While the event included seminar training sessions on various aspects of business, it focused on teaching companies how to best utilize Facebook and Twitter as marketing tools, allowing Digital Dogs to showcase its new product for custom Facebook pages.
In September of this year, Digital Dogs rolled out its new Facebook product called 520Pages. The 520Pages package provides clients with professional, customized Facebook pages that work like a mini-website for companies with small marketing budgets. When Digital Dogs heard that the focus of the Business Expo would be social media for businesses, they realized it was the perfect platform to spread the news about their new product offerings.
“The timing of the event really worked in our favor,” said Rich Docter, co-owner of Digital Dogs. “Over the last month, we’ve been working on spreading the word about 520Pages, and the Expo, with its focus on social media, gave us a great opportunity to do so.” For the event, the company offered attendees the chance to win a free 520Pages package for a year. The service typically costs $49/month, along with a one-time set-up fee. People could register to win the service until November 15.
Overall, the Expo, which was held in Tempe, AZ, featured around 100 exhibitors, and coordinators estimated that over 800 people attended the event. When asked if Digital Dogs would exhibit at the event in the future, Docter was enthusiastic. “Definitely. It’s a great opportunity to not just meet with potential customers but to meet other business owners and get to know the diversity of local businesses in the Phoenix area.” The expo was the first such event that Digital Dogs had attended as an exhibitor. After receiving positive feedback from attendees and a genuine interest in its 520Pages, the company now plans to exhibit at other expos in the Phoenix area.
