Mary-On-Board® retails for $19.95 and is an electronic device that offers 15 hilarious “back-seat driver” sayings in both English and Spanish. With typical back-seat driving sayings like, “Why don’t you stop and ask for directions” or “Don’t you think you should slow down,” the Mary-on-Board® device is a great way to remind someone to drive carefully, even if you aren’t in the car to nag them personally.

The YouTube video focuses on the driving habits of the inventor of Mary-On-Board®—Dan Finkelstein—and shows how using the device can make his driving better, just like his wife is in the car with him giving him “subtle” driving tips!

In fact, it was Finkelstein’s multi-tasking driving habits during a trip to North Carolina that led his wife to suggest he develop the Mary on Board product.

“My husband was driving and talking on his cell phone and almost missed an important exit until I got his attention, even though we had a GPS giving him directions,” said co-inventor Mary Finkelstein. “It occurred to me that a device that would provide subtle driving reminders would be a fun gag gift.”

Mary-on-Board® attaches to most car dashboards with a non-slip mat and a suction cup mount and also has an integrated picture holding slot so the driver can personalize the display of the device to remind him of his wife or girlfriend. The driver or passenger pushes a button on the device to activate the back-seat driver sayings.

“After watching this YouTube video, we hope it will help spur memories of other great back-seat driving stories during people’s lives, whether it was Mom yelling at Dad on a vacation to slow down or a wife telling hubby where to park in a shopping center,” Dan Finkelstein said. “We would love to have people tell us their back-seat driving stories, and those stories will be the basis for additional sayings we use for future versions of our Mary-on-Board ® product.”
