Downtown’s Hyatt Regency Houston Hotel Plans a Big Fling to Ring in 2012

The Texas hotel will host “Houston’s largest New Year’s Eve party,” including a 50,000 balloon drop, two live bands and a DJ.

Spanning four floors and featuring two live bands, a D.J., party favors, and the famous, 50,000-balloon cascade at midnight, Houston’s largest New Year’s Eve party takes place downtown at Hyatt Regency Houston, 1200 Louisiana Street, on Saturday, December 31 from 7 p.m. – 1 a.m.

$89 general admission tickets go on sale December 5 at the hotel’s Front Desk. Each general admission ticket includes four drink tickets; party favors; rabble-rousing Texas Country from Roger Creager; hot hits from the 60’s by The Fab 5; and DJ 33-1/3 spinning party hits in the lobby. The countdown to midnight will once again culminate with Hyatt’s famous, 50,000-balloon cascade from the top of hotel’s 33-floor atrium lobby.

The downtown Houston hotel’s Celebration Package starts at $299 per couple and includes overnight accommodations, eight (8) beverage tickets, party favors and full access to the party with live entertainment and balloon cascade at midnight.

Couples who want to make it the ultimate night to remember will enjoy Hyatt Regency Houston’s VIP Package starting at $569 per couple which includes dinner for two in Spindletop revolving rooftop restaurant, overnight accommodations, eight (8) beverage tickets, party favors and full access to the party with live entertainment and balloon cascade at midnight.

Other dining options for party guests include the city’s only Shula’s Steak House, offering its traditional dinner menu to party guests and Einstein Bros. Bagels and more, serving fresh salads, sandwiches and specialty coffees.
