New York, New York (PRWEB) November 17, 2011
On Tuesday, November 1, 2011 Michael J. Mulligan, President of ABGPrint.com (http://www.abgprint.com), presented at a 4 day management seminar: “Management Review of Printing Technologies and Future Trends” at the State University of New York Global Center. The event took place on October 31st through November 3rd and it introduced a delegation of Chinese printers to emerging opportunities in the digital print industry.
During the event, speakers presented their business strategies in the printing industry to management level printers from China. The seminar showcased experiences of successful U.S. print owners, leaders and managers, whom despite a difficult economic climate have harnessed their company’s intellectual power, new technology and insights into their financial structures to increase efficiency and improve management of their businesses.
“The objective of my workshop is to present the big picture of business finance. At its core, business finance is about acquiring and allocating resources,” said Mr. Mulligan. This concerns itself with how a company goes about financing the assets it needs to run the business and how these assets can be put to their highest uses. TCO is a critical component of this analysis.”
Mr. Mulligan’s workshop also summarized best practices in financial management. Topics included cost accounting, unused capacity, overhead variance, operating expenses and expanded income statements.
