To date, organisations on the OB10 network have saved over 92.2 million sheets of paper and over 2.6 million kilowatts of energy.

OB10 (http://www.ob10.com), the e-Invoicing network, has received a Green Apple Award for the fifth consecutive year for demonstrating environmental best practice.

Organised by The Green Organisation, an independent, non-profit group dedicated to recognising and promoting environmental best practice, the awards are the results of a national campaign to find Britain’s greenest companies, councils and communities.

“The judges thought that ‘ridding the world of paper invoices’ was not just a slogan, but a definite ambition for OB10,” said Roger Wolens, Director at The Green Organisation. “There are 150 billion paper invoices produced each year and OB10 renders most of them redundant.”

To date, organisations on the OB10 network have saved over 92.2 million sheets of paper and over 2.6 million kilowatts of energy.

“As more companies join our network and we develop new services, the environmental benefits we deliver through e-Invoicing will continue to contribute towards a long-term, sustainable future,” says Luke McKeever, CEO at OB10. “I’m honoured to receive this award on behalf of OB10 and our customers as we rid the world of paper invoices.”
