Square Shooters® Dice Game Announces Creative Child Seal of Excellence

Square Shooters, the innovative, new dice game, which has been heralded as “amazing” and “mind-blowing” by various toy and game reviewers, has just achieved another top honor, earning the Creative Child 2011 Seal of Excellence.

The latest award is added to Heartland’s growing list of accolades for Square Shooters. The game has already been honored by the National Parenting Center and The Dr. Toy Best Picks – Children’s Products, in addition to its many other endorsements and top consumer ratings.

Heartland Consumer Products, LLC, the Cleveland-based manufacturer of high quality playing cards including the popular Vegas® brand, introduced its Square Shooters® game (http://www.squareshooters.com) in February at the 2011 International Toy Fair held in New York City. The game impressed toy buyers from both mass and specialty retailers around the U.S., and Heartland immediately went into mass production to meet the demand.

“Square Shooters is winning awards and selling fast in its first year thanks to its versatility,” says Amber Dickens, Heartland’s Marketing Director. “At first it’s just one great new game. But it’s a deck of cards on dice that can do so much more.”

The nine dice contain 54 surfaces printed with every playing card face in a patented sequence. The layout allows the dice to be used for playing the most popular card games such as rummy, 21 and poker.

“Parents know that it can bring different ages and generations together, says Tom Donelan, Heartland’s President & CEO. “It can be as simple as a matching game for kids, and then a game of chance for adults. It plays well at both the kitchen table and the party table.”

Square Shooters (MSRP $12.99/Basic Set and $19.99/Deluxe Set) is designed for one or more players ages 8 and up. The game is available at select Walmart, Books-a-Million, Go! Games, and Bed, Bath & Beyond stores throughout the 2011 holiday season. The game is also sold at walmart.com and amazon.com.
