Sound Seal, a leading manufacturer of commercial and architectural acoustic noise control products announced today that The Gossett Place Apartments, located in the University District neighborhood of Seattle, Washington, are using VC300 as the preferred underlayment.

The 62 permanent affordable housing units serve as a residence for the Seattle area’s homeless young adults aged 18-25, as well as singles, couples and veterans.

Gossett Place is a multi-residential project with vinyl plank flooring throughout. Impacta VC300, a tough, resilient acoustic underlay for glue-down resilient vinyl flooring offers excellent acoustics and long term performance.

Jerry Lilly, P.E., of JGL Acoustics Inc. specified VC300 on the first two floors to provide impact noise control primarily for the side by side living units. After installation Jerry had this to say about VC300: “This is amazing stuff!!”
