Chuck and Joan Armbruster, owners of Armbruster Moving & Storage, Cleveland, Ohio have received the Mayflower Joyce Derrick award, which recognizes individuals who have shown particular dedication to and leadership in the moving industry. The award is named in honor of the late Joyce Derrick, who served as vice president of operations for a California Mayflower agency for 20 years and was known for her commitment to fellow employees and van operators.
The selection of Chuck and Joan Armbruster was announced by Richard H. McClure, CEO of Mayflower and President of UniGroup, Mayflower’s parent company, at the van line’s recent convention held in Orlando, Fla.
In his recognition of Chuck and Joan Armbruster, McClure said: “They have built an agency based on a passion for serving others, whether it is their customers, their employees or their community.”
Under the leadership of Chuck and Joan Armbruster, the agency has won Mayflower’s top award for customer service in 2010 and 2004. The agency also received a Customer Choice Award each year from 2007-2011. Chuck and Joan Armbruster are also active in their community. They currently work with an organization called Coats for Kids in Cleveland, Ohio, an organization that provides winter coats for children in need.
