As one of the country's top specialty schools, Kettering University's continued success depends on attracting just the right students for its engineering, science and business programs. TargetX's industry-leading CRM tool will help the admissions office work more efficiently.

To help meet its ambitious recruiting goals, Kettering University has selected TargetX's cloud-based Student Recruitment Manager (SRM), a powerful CRM tool that will allow the admissions team to find best-fit students for the renowned cooperative education school.

"The SRM will enable us to work smarter, finding the right student at the right time and with just the right messages and strategies," said Karen Full, Director of Undergraduate Admissions for the Michigan college. "And it will give each counselor the ability to take ownership of their territory and exercise control over their pool of prospects."

Because the SRM® is built on, the world's leading cloud-computing platform from, Kettering recruiters will have the advantage of accessing the customer relationship management (CRM) system anytime and from anywhere.

"This means every recruiter can design their own communications plan, piggybacking on the main university plan," added Full. "They can segment and target their messages to their prospects, track responses to previous communications and follow social media activity -- all from the road. We needed an on-demand tool that makes that happen, and the SRM is it."

Full and her staff of eight counselors are looking forward to the convenience, efficiency and competitive advantage of a tool that provides all student information in one place. "Everything we need to know about a prospect will be housed in the SRM," she explained. "And I'm excited about the staff being able to build their own reports so they can see at a glance key information about an individual student or a group."

The goal is for counselors to build the strongest possible relationship with prospects who best match the unique programs and educational culture of Kettering, said Full, and the data-driven approach provided by the Student Recruitment Manager will make that possible.

Adoption of the SRM comes at a critical time, said Full, since the university has set some aggressive enrollment goals. But she believes she has the people and resources, including TargetX's groundbreaking CRM system, to succeed.

In addition to its use for undergraduate recruitment, the SRM will also be used by the graduate office to attract students to the school's many Master's degree programs.
