One Free World International’s President and Founder, Majed El Shafie, is headed to Washington, D.C., where he will address the U.S. House of Representative’s Subcommittee on Africa, Global Health, and Human Rights on Thursday, November 17, 2011, at 3:00 p.m.
The open hearing will be held in Room 2172 of the Rayburn House Office Building, and it will be available live via the WEBCAST link on the Committee website at http://www.hcfa.house.gov.
At the request of the committee’s chairman, Congressman Christopher H. Smith (R-NJ), El Shafie will address a variety of human rights issues including religious persecution in Egypt and One Free World International’s recent fact-finding missions to Iraq, Pakistan and Afghanistan.
One Free World International is an international human rights organization based in Toronto, Canada, that focuses on the rights of religious minorities around the world and promotes tolerance, understanding and respect for diverse religious beliefs. The organization promotes awareness of human rights abuses and comes to the aid of those who are suffering because of their religious beliefs or expression.
