PLAYTIME LLC, the global provider of unique, interactive indoor play areas, has entered into an exclusive licensing agreement with Paws, Inc., home of the world-famous and notoriously funny fat cat, Garfield. This agreement enables PLAYTIME to create sculpted Garfield play areas for malls, retail outlets and other locations.

PLAYTIME is actively seeking partner(s) to work together on a multi-year rollout of Garfield branded, indoor soft play areas. In preparation for this, the PLAYTIME and Paws design teams are working closely together to develop preferred playground design concepts.
“Our artists are already coming up with ideas to match these iconic characters’ personalities,” says Evans. “We get to create indoor play structures out of the likes of Garfield, Odie, Nermal and Pooky. Now we’re looking to align our design and manufacturing capabilities with a partner who is committed to a significant number of locations nationwide.”
PLAYTIME’s licensing agreement allows a partner to obtain an iconic branded indoor play area. It also enables them to bring in third party national or community sponsorships to enhance the economics of adding this customer-friendly amenity.
Garfield was born on the comics pages on June 19, 1978 and quickly became the fastest growing and most widely syndicated comic strip ever. Today, the strip appears in over 2,400 newspapers and is read daily by 230 million people around the globe.
