We will continue to work hard throughout 2012 to ensure that we remain at the high standards expected by the scheme.

Following a recent re-assessment, Scudamore's Punting Company have maintained its status as one of the only three businesses within the city of Cambridge, and the only punting company, to be part of the Visitor Assured Quality Attraction Scheme (VAQAS) for 2012.
This Visit England-run accreditation recognises a wide variety of aspects within the business, including customer enquiries, accessibility, customer service, the appearance of staff and the quality of guided tours.
Assessments take place on a yearly basis and are conducted by a regional Visit England assessor. As well as offering an important guarantee to customers as to the standards they can expect when they visit Scudamore's, the VAQAS scheme provides an important incentive for staff training and development within the business.
Tony Cole, the Training Manager for Scudamore's, is delighted that the company has maintained its place in the scheme for 2012. Mr Cole said: "This recognition from Visit England shows that our year-round tour testing and staff training programme is paying dividends."
"We will continue to work hard throughout 2012 to ensure that we remain at the high standards expected by the scheme. This includes maintaining the excellent quality of some of our other tours, such as our punting & walking ghost tours."
