New 2012 Jeep Wrangler Awarded for Best Compact Utility Vehicle

The celebrated Jeep Wrangler is known as one of the most capable vehicles on the market. The new 2012 Wrangler has topped that by becoming a more fuel-efficient and commanding vehicle with its 3.6-liter V-6 engine and 21 mpg hwy capability. The automaker continues to improve its vehicles to keep up with the ever-changing market and driver demand.

According to a Chrysler Group press release, Jeep was recognized for its “dramatically improved on-road performance and even more off-road prowess” as well as its improved 3.6-liter V-6 engine with increased “fuel efficiency up to 21 miles per gallon, with 285 horsepower (40 percent improvement) and 260 lb.-ft. of torque (10 percent improvement).”

Recipients of the ALG Residual Value Awards are determined through careful study of the competition in each segment, historical vehicle performance and industry trends, according to the Chrysler Group press release. Other key deciding factors are: vehicle quality, production levels, demand, pricing and marketing.
