Ad-supported music platform pioneers “Engagement Advertising”

Guvera has removed the concept of ‘Disruptive Advertising’ and replaced it with ‘Engagement Advertising.' - Scotty Moore

Guvera – a new social media platform solution designed to drive consumer engagement with the power of music – today announced that digital media industry veteran Scotty Moore has been named Chief Revenue Officer to spearhead business development for the new company.

The addition of Mr. Moore to the fast-growing organization will further expand Australia-based Guvera’s unique business, drawing on his extensive experience with building revenue-generating teams and programs.

“As we continue gaining traction in the US, the addition of Scotty to the team brings Guvera’s experience and skill set to a new level,” said Guvera CEO Claes Loberg. “We’re dedicated to establishing and nurturing long-term relationships and win-win partnerships with customers and partners and his expertise will help us become the leading provider of engagement-based advertising solutions for marketers in the US and beyond.”

Launched in Australia and in beta in the US since April of 2010, Guvera’s model allows consumers to get music downloads for free, courtesy of marketers who create music channels that match their brand’s personality and goals. Guvera has done the heavy lifting of acquiring music distribution rights from major and indie labels, so marketers can choose from a catalog of more than 5 million songs, then offer downloads of those songs to consumers in exchange for interacting with the brand. Guvera goes beyond the "watch an ad and get a song download" model to a dynamic entertainment platform that provides marketers with a solution to engage their user more deeply.

“Guvera has removed the concept of ‘Disruptive Advertising’ and replaced it with ‘Engagement Advertising,” said Moore. “Marketers can now align their loyalty programs, in-store, direct marketing, social media and digital initiatives and I look forward to building Guvera into a trusted and effective marketing partner for the world’s top brands.”

Moore has established himself as an industry leader through his experiences at media companies across print, digital, and mobile platforms. As Chief Revenue Officer, Scotty joined gamerDNA Media in 2009 to lead revenue generation efforts globally. Moore helped turn gamerDNA Media into a Comscore Top 5 video game content media company serving 60 million monthly uniques, which lead to the company’s acquisition by Live Gamer in July of this year. Prior to GamerDNA, Moore successfully launched and ran sales efforts for Myxer Music. He built’s national sales operations from scratch and established many key mobile media partnerships within the entertainment, CPG and auto sectors.
