The United States military does so much, why not give a little back to soldiers currently serving overseas? The historic 1862 David Walley’s Hot Springs Resort and Spa will be hosting the Angels in the Desert Benefit this Friday, November 18 from 6 to 10 p.m. By reserving tickets at $35 per person, enjoy great food, live entertainment and a fun time at the resort! (A cash bar will also be available.) A silent auction (6:00-7:30 p.m.) and a live auction (beginning at 8 p.m.) will be held as well. All proceeds will go toward purchasing and sending gifts to 700 soldiers based in Iraq who cannot be home with their families for the holidays.
As a retired Navy Seal, Pat Joyce, CEO and one of the owners of Summer Winds Resorts and 1862 David Walley’s Hot Springs Resort and Spa, feels that it is important for him and his company to support the armed forces. “1862 David Walleys Hot Springs Resort and Spa really thought this event was a great way to show support for Troops and their families. Management was glad to have donated the venue, food and some great auction items for this worthwhile event”, stated managing owner of 1862 David Walley’s Hot Springs Resort and Spa, Dawn Joyce.
