Newest VoC innovation allows conference participants to easily rate presentations and share their input with speakers and conference organizers in real time

OpinionLab, the pioneer and global leader in Voice of Customer (VoC) innovation, will debut new mobile speaker feedback capabilities at the ACCELERATE 2011 conference in San Francisco tomorrow. Through OpinionLab, every participant can quickly access a mobile comment card to rate presentations and share their comments in their own words. All feedback is delivered in real time to each speaker, as well as to the conference organizers to feed leader boards, populate a peer-reviewed speaker index and guide speaker selection for future ACCELERATE events.

"We created ACCELERATE to be a different type of conference, and one difference we want to provide is high-quality feedback to all of our speakers," said Eric T. Peterson, Senior Partner and Founder at Web Analytics Demystified. "The OpinionLab mobile speaker feedback system allows us to easily evaluate our speakers for future events, share that feedback directly with each individual speaker, and determine the overall value ACCELERATE is creating for our attendees."

Speaker Feedback Innovation: How It Works

Through OpinionLab’s speaker feedback capabilities, presenters and organizers can listen always and anywhere during the show and gain actionable insight into how to improve the conference experience and sessions.

  • Conference participants can simply bring up a URL or scan a QR code to access a list of speakers and open a comment card.
  • The comment card allows participants to quickly rate speakers and share their input about presentation content, style and value directly with the presenter and conference organizers. Participants can also provide contact information (phone or email) for a response and have the option to automatically tweet their comment to the presenter by clicking on a button on the “thank you” page following each feedback submission.
  • Speakers and conference organizers receive real-time alerts on each comment. Feedback is also aggregated to populate leader boards and a peer-reviewed speaker index. This innovation marks the first portable metric that speakers can take with them from one conference to another, showcasing the quality and value of their subject matter expertise.

“OpinionLab has spent more than a decade helping leading brands leverage technology to listen more effectively, all the time and everywhere," said Rand Nickerson, CEO of OpinionLab. “We are pleased to extend our VoC innovation into the conference realm to instantly spotlight the best speakers and sessions – and identify areas for subtle tweaks or major improvements.”

ACCELERATE provides a virtual “fire hose” of analytical insights and observations from many of the best minds in the web analytics industry. The 2011 event will be held on Friday, November 18, 2011 at the Mission Bay Conference Center in San Francisco from 9:00 AM to 4:30 PM. More information is available here.
