Gail Marcus and Tom Hirsch, appointed November, 2011, will reinforce Slone Partners' leading edge in recruiting for the diagnostic laboratory industry by bringing unique knowledge, as well as skill sets, that complement the current board's knowledge and abilities. This in-depth knowledge base will surely be an added benefit to clients.

By combining their impressive track records in oncology, financial, and management solutions for the laboratory industry, Marcus and Hirsch complement the molecular and diagnostic competencies of current Slone Partners' advisory board members Dennis Weissman and Daniel Farkas.
Marcus is a senior executive with more than 25 years experience managing and growing domestic and international healthcare businesses. She currently serves as healthcare segment leader for the New England Office of Tatum LLC. Prior to Tatum, Marcus was president and CEO of Caris Diagnostics. Marcus holds an MBA in finance from The Wharton School and an MS in information sciences from the University of Pennsylvania.
Currently, Hirsch is president of Laboratory Billing Solutions, which performs billing services for hospital outreach and smaller independent laboratories. Hirsch served as president and CEO of Path Lab, Inc., for almost 20 years, growing its annual sales to $70 million. Under his leadership, other healthcare institutions have also realized notable, record revenues. Hirsch earned an MBA degree from the Harvard Graduate School of Business Administration.
