She possesses expertise in surgical services and was the clinical director for SurgCenter® Development, directly responsible for full regulatory oversight of building codes, operations, materials management, accreditations and profitability during the construction of new ambulatory surgical centers. A business development pro, Pilla also has hands-on experience in healthcare sales management for pharmaceutical and clinical communications-technology industries.
In addition, Pilla is an accomplished medical professional with a decade of clinical experience as an OR, pre-, post-operative and neurology nurse. She was also the core manager of surgical quality education and training for hundreds of physicians and other personnel at Missouri Baptist Medical Center.
Pilla holds numerous degrees and certifications in addition to nursing including an MBA and Bachelor of Science in business management and two Six Sigma belts.
