The bronze sculptors of Big Statues are making a stand for the environment, one earth-conscious farmer at a time, by sculpting custom bronze statue awards for excellent farmers of the “No Till Farmer” group.
The No Till Farmer and the Conservation Tillage Guide is a monthly publication by Lessiter Publications who feature similar agriculture, equine, and sports groups throughout the United States. The No Till Farmer’s mission is to provide helpful tips and information for current farmers interested in reducing their tillage or soil plowing techniques. Alice Musser, a representative of Lessiter Publications has commissioned Big Statues to sculpt “Oscar-like” miniature bronze sculpture awards to be given to exemplary farmers and agriculture companies they would like to recognize.
The No Till Farmer group will hold an end-of-the-year ceremony for their members, where they will publicly congratulate these farmers. Many business hold similar culminating events to reflect on the year gone by and the advancements they’ve made together. Companies will often present gifts or prizes, or even bronze plaques to their most valued employees, customers, or benefactors, but those that really want to take the recognition to the next level, go for something a little more glamorous – the miniature bronze sculpture award.
Big Statues, a custom bronze sculpting company that serves clients all throughout the world, has had the pleasure of sculpting several exceptional bronze awards.
Each company’s motto, symbol, and logo is unique, and bronze sculptor Matt Glenn of Big Statues takes special care to recreate that individual spirit of the company into a tangible figure that represents it best.
For the No Till Farmer of the year award, Big Statues is sculpting a 14 inch tall bronze statue of a farmer, kneeling in his crops, and holding a scoop of carefully tended soil in his hands. The pose is inspired from the iconic front cover of the No till Farmer magazine, shifted and manipulated by the hand-crafted artwork of Matt Glenn to portray the humble, dedicated worker in each eco-friendly farmer and agriculture company of America.
Such bronze sculpture awards as these build pride and unity amongst and between companies and organizations both big and small. They provide a way to not just say thanks, but to continue to enlist people to the cause of each organization’s greatest values. Housed on the mantel pieces and in the homes of real individuals, these miniature bronze statue awards will continue to inspire and motivate the friends and families of these farmers doing all they can to protect and nurture the environment with this work for generations to come.
