Full Sail University Welcomes Atlantic Records Recording Artist Christina Perri for Live Performance

On October 22, Full Sail University was proud to welcome singer-songwriter and Atlantic Records recording artist Christina Perri to its campus for an exclusive private acoustic performance presented by MIX105.1 FM featuring selections from her debut album, lovestrong. Also included in her set was the debut performance of Perri’s “A Thousand Years,” which appears on the recently released original motion picture soundtrack for the film The Twilight Saga - Breaking Dawn Part 1, which premieres in theaters today.

On October 22, Full Sail University was proud to welcome singer-songwriter and Atlantic Records recording artist Christina Perri to its campus for an exclusive private acoustic performance presented by MIX105.1 FM featuring selections from her debut album, lovestrong.

With a stage designed specifically for her by Full Sail University staff and students, Christina Perri opened her live performance to an audience of 500+ attendees with the playful hit “Bang Bang Bang.” Also included in her set was the debut performance of Perri’s “A Thousand Years,” which appears on the recently released original motion picture soundtrack for the film The Twilight Saga - Breaking Dawn Part 1, which premieres in theaters today. Additional songs featured during the show included the defiant break-up anthem “Jar of Hearts,” the hopeful ballad “Arms,” as well as a cover of the Roy Orbison favorite “Crying.”

“It was truly a magical evening for not only the lucky people who got to experience it, but for Christina as well,” said Ric Austin, Southeast Regional Manager, RoadRunner Promotions. “She loved it and can’t wait to come back. Everything that evening was beautifully done from the marketing of MIX 105.1FM, to the amazing job everyone at Full Sail University did and of course Christina’s performance was one of a kind!”

In between songs, Perri offered insight into her personal journey as a songwriter and musician, while providing inspiration and encouragement by sharing experiences from her life and rising career.

“It was truly a wonderful experience to work alongside Atlantic Records and MIX105.1 in welcoming Christina Perri to our Full Sail Live venue,” said Jay Noble, Event Producer for Full Sail University. “We are proud to be able to host an artist and an event of this musical magnitude for our students as well as attendees from all over the state of Florida.”
