Perminova EP 2.0 was designed by cardiologists for cardiologists. It dramatically boosts charge capture for hospitals, improves patient safety and reduces the frustration level of doctors and staff from endless writing up of reports and notes.

Perminova, developer of web-based software for the nation’s leading cardiology centers, announced today the release of the 2.0 version of Perminova EP.

Perminova EP is the electrophysiology module of Perminova Cardio, a web-based software system for use in cardiovascular surgery.

Perminova Cardio products are browser-based, not device-based, so they can deploy via the web, with rapid configuration, integration and customization. Perminova Cardio deployments don’t require armies of consultants, budget-busting contracts or expensive new hardware. And, they can be seamlessly integrated into any hospital’s electronic medical record system.

Perminova EP manages scheduling, workflow, surgical data and billing that occur during cardiac EP procedures. New features in Perminova EP 2.0 enhance efficiency by improving scheduling functionality, allowing clinicians and staff to proactively manage the work day while helping them identify and resolve bottlenecks before they occur. Among other improvements, new features of Perminova EP 2.0 allow clinicians and staff to:

  •     View all outstanding and pending doctor reports
  •     Electronically process all billing
  •     Bar-code scan medications used during surgical procedures
  •     Forward completed copies of doctor notes to referring doctors at the end of cases
  •     Track and manage patients across the scheduling process through insurance authorization
  •     Track and manage changes to dates and doctors that would trigger a rework in the process
  •     Manage last-minute patient additions as high priority

Perminova EP is in use at EP labs at Mt. Sinai Hospital in New York and UC San Diego Health System’s Thornton Hospital and Sulpizio Cardiovascular Center. Mt. Sinai Hospital and UC San Diego Health System are ranked among the nation’s top cardiovascular hospitals by U.S. News & World Report. Software development is currently underway for Perminova Cath and Perminova Vascular, modules created for the cardiac catheterization and cardiac vascular specialties.
