South Kent School is advancing rapidly in Under Armor nationwide competition.

The Under Armour “Finding Undeniable Challenge” is underway and South Kent School is quickly climbing the ranks of top contenders.
Over a period of 45 days, the school with the most votes will receive $140,000 of apparel, accessories and athletic gear, enough to outfit South Kent’s athletic teams for two years. According to Under Armour, high schools earn points by completing specified “challenges” and gathering votes. The challenges are designed to show what each school is made of, both in athletic ability and pride, and earn points based on difficulty.

Points are also awarded for votes earned by the school. So spreading the word throughout the school, across the community, with alumni, parents and friends are crucial to success. Schools are required to upload each completed challenge to a customized web page. On the page, everyone will be able to see growing proof of each school’s “Undeniability”.

“South Kent is battling through the ranks, or climbing the ladder, the way the South Kent Cardinals always do, through hard work and determination,” said Gonzo Garcia, Director of Communications at South Kent School. “Our boys take pride in competing against schools much larger than South Kent, in some cases 10 times larger,” he added. “The contest has been a lot of fun and has brought the South Kent community even closer together in a very exciting way,” he said.

South Kent School has climbed to number 11 in the nationwide contest, quickly approaching the coveted top 10. The school even earned over 200 points during the recent five- day power outage at the school after the recent October snowstorm that blasted the state.

"I first found out about the Under Armor Finding Undeniable Challenge on Facebook,” said Taylor Leger, a student at South Kent School. ”I wanted to get South Kent involved because I thought our student body, despite our size, had the determination to be able to compete and win against schools with over six times the students,” he added.
