“This is a very natural fit for Artis” according to Artis MD Chris Greatrex “With RPDE’s Mission to accelerate and enhance Defence capability through innovation and collaboration, this aligns nicely with what we do for Australian Industry every day"
Sydney, NSW (PRWEB) November 20, 2011
Artis Group, the Australian based Software Development and Application Support specialist, today announces its selection for the Australian Government’s Rapid Prototyping, Development and Evaluation (RPDE) program.
Artis joins a unique collaboration between Defence, Industry and Academia, adding to the best and brightest from across the defence industry spectrum. When the Australian Defence Force has complex, high-risk problems, RPDE delivers the solutions.
“This is a very natural fit for Artis” according to Artis Group’s Managing Director Chris Greatrex “With RPDE’s Mission to accelerate and enhance Australian Defence capability through innovation and collaboration, this aligns nicely with what we do for Australian Industry every day.”
RPDE Associates are generally academic institutions or specialist Australian companies with a relevant R&D program. The common selection criterion to join the program is that the organisation has to demonstrate it has skills and expertise in specific niche capability areas. In Artis’ case, those areas are:
- Data/ Information Management/ Fusion
- Software Development/ Integration
“The selection acknowledges Artis continued focus on the growing Software Development and Applications Support business. The success of that strategy has resulted in rapid organic growth and the awarding of Microsoft Gold status for both ‘Web Development’ and ‘Data Platform’ under the new Microsoft Partner Network.” said Greatrex.
