WSO2 will show IT architects best practices and open source technologies for building applications capable of running on-premise, in the cloud, and in hybrid environments

Open source technology experts will share best practices for building applications that can seamlessly migrate between local servers, public clouds, private clouds, and cloud hybrid environments.

WSO2 today announced it will demonstrate how IT architects and developers can use open source middleware to build applications capable of running both on-premise and in the cloud at the Gartner Application Architecture Integration & Development Summit (AADI). The event is being held November 29 – December 1, 2011 at Caesar’s Palace in Las Vegas, NV.

WSO2, a Silver sponsor of the Gartner AADI Summit, will have service-oriented architecture (SOA) and open source technology experts in the Solution Showcase, who will share best practices for building applications that can seamlessly and smoothly migrate between local servers, public clouds, private clouds, and cloud hybrid environments.

WSO2 experts also will demonstrate examples of seamlessly integrated on-premise and cloud applications of its award-winning, 100% open source platforms: the WSO2 Carbon enterprise middleware platform and WSO2 Stratos cloud middleware platform. The latest versions of these platforms and the WSO2StratosLive platform-as-a-service (PaaS) were launched simultaneously earlier this month, ensuring enterprises have access to the latest WSO2 technology advances whether they are deployed on-premise or in the cloud.

Three WSO2 Platforms, One Code Base

WSO2 Carbon is the industry’s first fully componentized middleware platform for creating, running and managing composite applications and Web services within an SOA. Built on the OSGi specification, WSO2 Carbon lets developers easily deploy and customize any of its WSO2 Carbon-based middleware products, and the 150-plus components on which they are comprised, providing greater flexibility and agility to meet changing enterprise demands.

WSO2 Stratos is the industry’s first complete cloud middleware platform for rapidly building and deploying applications and services with full multi-tenancy and the elasticity, reliability and scalability to support high-volume cloud environments. WSO2 Stratos is built on top of and extends WSO2 Carbon with cloud-native functionality, and it powers the WSO2 StratosLive public PaaS hosted by WSO2. Because WSO2 Carbon, WSO2 Stratos and WSO2 StratosLive share the same code, applications and services can be migrated smoothly and safely on premise, to a private cloud, to the public cloud, or to a hybrid environment.
